ACETAIA BELLEI HISTORY



The last three generations of the BELLEI's family have been devoted to the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, this precious heritage which was left from the Dukes of Este to all people of Modena.

The BELLEI Vinegar factory, because of Mr Bellei and his daughter Mariangeloa hard work, has been booming the last decades. Despite of its strong business expansion, the management company still maintains its family-like business character and even more because Mr. Bellei, an expert on grapes and all its derivatives, has transmitted generously its experience and philosophy to his employees, ensuring a consistent product quality and stricly controlled purchase system of all raw materials.  His daughter Mariangela, however, is in charge of the sales and marketing policies of the whole company. Their trade policy is based not only on sales increases, but also on the search for ever higher levels of quality.

Over the past 25 years they have increased production in order to meet the market's diverse needs and they have extended the vinegar factory up to more than 3 000 barrels of fine wood. Today BELLEI's Balsamic Vinegars are known worldwide for their excellent quality.

BELLEI's Balsamic Vinegar has been awarded PGI status (Protected Geographical Indication).  All BELLEI's Balsamic Vinegars IGP are no sugar, caramel or artificial colour added.
