 INTRODUCTION

Coffee is such a key feature of Italian life-style, from the first cappuccino of the day, which opens a morning with great flavour, to the afternoon coffee break with the colleagues, a special moment to share a shot of espresso.  And why an espresso?  Because it is tasty, quick to prepare and it gives you that much-needed boost for the rest of the day.  Whats is the secret behind a perfect Italian-style espresso? Actually, there are a few ones:

  • Source water at a temperature of 92 to 96C
  • A top level coffee machine,  either professional or moka pot style

THE MAKING OF THE BLENDS CAFFÈ DEL FARO

Caffè del FARO only use the most renowned coffee beans:  Arabica and Robusta coming from Brazil, central America and India.  They select beans from these countries in order to get the best coffee blends from their mixtures.

Green coffee beans are first dried; the hundreds of substances which gives coffee its  aste and flavour are released during this phase.  The beans are, after that, are roasted at a temperature around 200C.  Finally, the now brown beans go under a cooling process until they are either directly packed in airtight containers or professionally ground.
